A Message From James Becker
RCF Connects builds health, thriving communities through its three elements of Coach, Connect, and Contribute. Its focus on equity has been embraced by its Board and Staff and it has been my pleasure to work for this organization for 16 years. During this time, we and our partner nonprofits have provided award winning services in health, education, economic development, and housing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided free embodied leadership coaching to nonprofit and community leaders, and have been able, thanks to donors like you, to provide emergency cash supports to families in need and rental assistance to those who have been unable to pay their rent during the pandemic.
I am so proud of the video our staff have created and hope you will consider making a donation to support the work of these incredible leaders and our organization.
Thank you so much.
About This Campaign
As the severity of the global pandemic fell upon us, and our communities resiliently endured weeks of violence and unrest, RCF knew we had to take hold of the opportunity and firmly rededicate to our mission, staff, and community. Determined to uphold our promise of accountability to Contra Costa County, we are able to proactively focus our efforts on power building, systems change, and connecting people. By mindfully keeping equity as our guiding North Star, we are humbly learning how to weave it into the fibers of our infrastructure and plant it deep into the heart and soul of RCF Connects.
At its core mission, RCF Connects seeks systematic change that eliminates biased policies, practices, and attitudes that are root causes of inequity. By creating spaces for connection, initiatives for contribution, and empowerment through coaching, we are prioritizing our efforts around: Restoring Neighborhoods, Community Growth, Quality Education, Health, and Public Safety.
This year we would like to welcome you to connect with us a bit further! We feel that human connection and healthy expression is necessary in thriving communities. Plus, we know that within our communities, we love to tell stories! Therefore, we invite you to watch our RCF Connects story to learn more about who we are and what we really do. We hope you enjoy!

Happy Holidays! On behalf of the RCF Connects family, I would like to send you our most positive thoughts of health, safety, and wellness to you and your loved ones this holiday season. This year has been tough for all of us and our communities. As the global pandemic fell upon us, RCF aimed to embody accountability and firmly rededicate to its mission, staff, and community.
