Disaster changes a community. The current pandemic has heightened inequities faced by many in our community. In addition, most public relief efforts have been unavailable to the undocumented; those that were available were perceived unsafe by undocumented people at risk of incarceration or deportation. The Undocu-Fund will meet the immediate and ongoing needs and priorities of Contra Costa’s immigrant residents, both documented and undocumented, during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
